First, let's talk about rubber stamps and their uses.

In the past, rubber stamps are used mainly by companies to acknowledge a document or a receipt. Custom officers around the world stamp our passport with rubber stamps. More recently, we also notice the use of rubber stamps in scrapbook making. According to the brief history the art of Scrapbooking, this hobby started in 1598, YES, you heard me correctly, in the year 1598. The use of rubber stamps to create scrapbook and cards is highly popular in the West and this trend is currently engulfing scrapbook enthusiasts in the East. Now, rubber stamps comes in all kinds of pattern and images. Just take a look at these:


I am obsessed with Korean stamp kits like these 2 above. There are just so many things to make using these rubber stamps! Why do you think Korean stamps come in small square blocks and with such cute illustrations? This is because with such small stamps, we can use it for our diary, organisers, or even use them in our letters to our friends!
In the next few installations, I will share with you some low-cost, easy and do-it-yourself projects using rubber stamps!
